I started in Spring 2026 as a graduate research assistant at CLAMS. Before that, I earned my B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria. Currently, I’m working on optimization and control problems related to industrial decarbonization. My CV can be found here.
📚 Cole Elder
I am currently an Undergraduate Researcher working jointly with Dr. Jiang and Dr. Praveen Meduri on technoeconomic analysis and optimization of conventional and electrified hydrogen peroxide production.
📚 Chris Turner
I am currently an Undergraduate Researcher working jointly with Fractionation Research, Inc. on software developing and testing for distillation column monitoring and fault detection.
🎓 Saba Ghasemi Naraghi
I was a graduate research assistant at CLAMS from Spring 2022 to Fall 2025. I successfully defended my Ph.D. dissertation “Advances in Optimization to Design Efficient and Resilient Food Supply Chains and Facilitate Industrial Decarbonization” in December 2025. My first appointment after Ph.D. is Data Scientist in the Operations and Performance team at American Airlines. My CV prior to graduation can be found here.
🎓 Zeyuan Song
I was a graduate research assistant at CLAMS from Spring 2022 to Fall 2025. I successfully defended my Ph.D. dissertation “Advances in Numerical Partial Differential Equations: From Discretization-based Solvers to Neural Operators” in December 2025. My first appointment after Ph.D. is Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Mathematics at Lehigh University, working with Prof. Yue Yu. My CV prior to graduation can be found here.
🎓 Tylee Kareck
I worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at CLAMS from Spring 2023 to Spring 2025. I am now a PhD student in chemical engineering at Texas A&M University. During my time at OSU, I worked on electrification of separation units for the steam cracking process. I received several recognitions and awards, including the CEAT Undergraduate Research Scholarship, Outstanding Chemical Engineering Senior Award, and the R.N. Maddox Chemical Engineering Senior Design Contest Award. I was also part of the team who won the First Place for the Best Applications of Inherently Safer Design (Ted Ventrone, Ephraim Scheier & Walt Silowska Award) in 2025 AIChE Design Competition.
